Called the "Mosaic Generation" by the Barna Group, today's youth seem to have no characteristic "that really dominates like you might have seen with prior generations." The greatest enemy of this generation is apathy; apathy toward God, toward family, and toward the world. PS3 was created to counter this trend.

It is the mission of PS3 to instill a greater desire to serve God and others in this generation.

IM and iPods cannot be our shields from building relationships. Extreme sports and expensive cars cannot be the source of our glory. Sex, drugs, and alcohol cannot be what lifts us up and helps us deal with life.

But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. (Psalms 3:3)

PS3 activities are generally held on the first and third Fridays of the month and are posted on the church web calendar.
